“Ready or not, here I come…”

January 21st, 2008 § Leave a Comment

The truth is.. I’ve been blogging since I was 14 years old. Six years later, and all the wiser, I decided to move from the oh-so-teen-girl-ish Livejournal to the more (for lack of a better word..) professional WordPress.

I’m a 20 year old with the mind of a 30 year old (sometimes). I am one of the most professional 20 year olds you’ll meet in LA. I am a down to the bone California girl. I live my life with a glimpse of Hollywood life, I guess you could say. I drive down Sunset Blvd on almost a daily basis. I am an ultimate music enthusiast, a nanny for two extremely successful professionals in the entertainment industry, a personal assistant to an actress/soap opera star, and part-time security guard for the #1 security company in the country. I live 5 minutes from the LA harbor, 10 minutes from the beach, 20 minutes to downtown LA, 45 minutes to Hollywood and Beverly Hills, 1 hour to Disneyland/Orange County, and two hours from San Diego, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and Big Bear (all in different directions of course). Needless to say, I have it all.

Music is my world. I don’t know where to even begin explaining when music became my life, or even when I fell in love with music. I guess it just sort of happened, without any planning or explaining. Music had always been a big part of my life. I listen to it all.. pop, rock, country, oldies, rap, r&b, and sometimes even metal. I love it all. Sometimes when people look at my ipod, they turn to me and say, “really?”. I credit my diverse taste in music to my parents, sister, friends and few ex-boyfriends.

For the past decade, I’ve grown up into “the business”. For the past 10 years, my dad has worked for the #1 security company in the country. (Those yellow jackets with “event staff” on the back that you see at concerts… thats us.) I began going to concerts when I was 10 years old, maybe even earlier. Within these many years, I’ve gone to as many as 50 concerts. Maybe it happened over night, but I just remember one day, realizing “Wow..this is what I want to do with my life.”

I’ve been in love ever since.
